Mystery comes suddenly into her body. Nobody sees it. The maze of trouble began with a small oval mass, though she did not realize it at first.

However, it was necessary for her to discern the true nature of this nightmare. A parasite had already consumed her internal flesh little by little.
It was becoming larger and larger within her body.

She started to seek her own origin, while the mirror-self was trying to persuade the unfamiliar mass to get along with her.
She knew it was too late, but she could not stop seeking the place she was born.
She might not discover the answer from the sea, but perhaps she would notice that there was an essential response in her body.
When she perceived it at first, it seemed terrifying; she now knows that this mystery affects all human equally.

Also, she knew that she would never get out of the maze.
To enter it was unexpected, but once she knew about the parasite in her body, perhaps it was impossible to go back to the starting point, her ordinary body.
Moreover, she might not want to go back to her normal body because she understood that to know was to be impure, to be impure was what needed to live;
and to live was great knowledge; these ideas were keeping her from escaping the maze.

To show what happened to her is to inquire into and disclose the truth of “body.”
Like doctors who give patients advice, my video would guide viewers to knowledge of the inner body.
Once they understand that these images are their own interior bodies, which they usually never see,
their sorrow, agony, discomfort and pain will stay eternally as an impression.
Though this may seem like a stranger’s misfortune, viewers will recognize that all people possess this strange body.
It will be the foundation for appreciating and understanding their bodies.

Title: SUN Ⅱ, 2017
Size:  69 x 69 x 69 cm
Media:  Installation
Price: £600.00
In this project, I expand photography into the perceptual experience and challenge the notion of our embodied experience in the digital era. I will take the universal subject ‘sun’ as the model to explore the idea of perceptual experience, mediation and simulation. It is trying to renegotiate the way we experience this natural phenomenon and external world through bodily perception.

Our daily experience is largely dependent on the perception. As Merleau-Ponty claims in the Phenomenology of Perception, ‘the body is the third thing, strictly speaking neither subject nor object... is something ‘in between’, consciousness and the world, it is essentially ambiguous.’(Merleau-Ponty & Dreyfus,1992). The perception based on the body is a fundamental and immersive way to perceive the world. It challenges philosophical positions which based on the dichotomy between subject and object, then places bodily perception to the latter category.
The network coming with the digital revolution demonstrates a true virtual world for people, a virtual world which has the connection with all the time and space, and offers the illusionary feeling of presence. The perceptaul experience of reality shifts to the compression of illusion and is mediated. These illusions presents the exteral world through the digital space which blur the boundery between the real and unreal, and shaps the way that people perceive the the external through the perception.

The work is a constructed LED mirror with online images of sun. These simulacra of sun co-exist and generate the new constructed illusion for viewer which offers the new artificial phenomenon.
The interaction between the artwork and viewers is key point in this project. It is trying to invite viewers to experience this simulation of the sun with their bodily percpetion. The perceptual experience of this ephemeral natural phenomenon is shifting to the everlasting simulacra.
